Dear friends of the Auberge !

tomatoes in the kitchen-garden

Just after our 21st season, which ended in November, we find ourselves already in 2013! It's the typical south France winter climate, rather mild, pretty wet & windy, but with quite warm and sunny days as well.

A time to step back, to do all the accumulated stuff in the office, to write... before starting the big winter cleaning of the house, and the holidays, of course.

It's also the period for renovations, improvements, building, repairing. At the menu this winter:  renovation of the orangery, a new large professional range for the kitchen, and the building of contemporary bathrooms into the two groundfloor rooms. This will permit also to have outside but private bathrooms available for the two other "chambres d'amis" 15 & 19 around the old staircase, as for rooms 6 & 7 in the other part of the house.

2013 will be the second year of the Auberge's own organic vegetable garden, outside the park, near to the campsite. It has yielded mainly tomatoes last year, and will be better prepared and more widely planted this year.

Some events are in preparation, too, to start with the photographic exhibition "Instants Suspendus" of dutch photographer John Bongaarts. To be discovered from March 22nd onwards!

Our regular guests should have received our program for the year 2013 by letter - if not or if you'd like to read the english version, please download it here.

Everything will be ready for March 22nd, for a gastronomical & musical opening evening, featuring jazz guitarist Louis Martinez & his quartet, with a program of standards and personal compositions.

So, see you soon, in spring, for a nice evening in the restaurant, a sunday's family outing or a stay under the luscious wisteria!
